Last weekend a few of us headed up to the coast to see the sea, grab a few pintxos and explore the little port town where Cristobal Balenciaga was born. The bus from Zarautz into Getaria gave us a breathtaking coastal view. So many people don't realise how beautiful the Basque Country is. Sea views and mountainous backdrops; stunning. The town was bustling due to a fiesta; cue crowded streets full of people drinking wine and Basque poetry recitals. It was a truly beautiful location. It's just a shame we didn't have more time to explore and take in the views. We also visited the Balenciaga museum, have a read of my blog post on it here.
